Guilty plea expected in Jonathan Duhamel robbery

The ex-girlfriend of poker champ Jonathan Duhamel is expected to plead guilty to planning the attack and robbery of Duhamel last December.

The lawyer for Bianca Rojas-Latraverse said her client decided to switch to a guilty plea to be at peace with her conscience and to start her life with a clean slate.

The 21-year-old is charged, along with two men, with conspiracy, breaking and entering, aggravated assault, forcible confinement and armed robbery.

But talks between now and Friday will determine which charges will drop and if they can come up with a common sentence.

Rojas-Latraverse's trial was supposed to start last Friday but was delayed after she suffered an unspecified "violent incident," marks reportedly seen on her face.

Duhamel was the victim of a violent robbery at his home in Boucherville in December. Suspects made off with lots of cash, a Rolex and his poker championship bracelet. Most of that was recovered. Another man was arrested for having the stolen Rolex on him.
