SQ search for clues in sexual assaults
A police command post has been established in St -Eustache this morning.
Surete du Quebec investigators along with investigators from neighboring municipalities are going door-to-door in search for new clues in regards to three sexual assaults that occured between 1996 and 2011.
Police say the victims are women in their twenties. They were alone, taken against their will, and sexually abused.
SQ spokesperson Benoit Richard says they believe the crimes took place in St-Eustache and by the same person.
"What we think right now is the three sexual assaults could have been made by the same individual. We're talking about a white male, speaks French, he's between 35-55, and he should be of medium-build."
He says there are no strong leads at this point and that is why they have set up a command post in hopes the public can help them find their suspect.
Anyone with information is being asked to call 1-800-659-4264.
