Eighty Laval school bus drivers are threatening to go on strike.

They met Tuesday afternoon and gave their union a madate to use all pressure tactics necessary, including a strike, to reach an agreement with the employer.

Wages are at the heart of the dispute.

The bus drivers transport 4000 Commission Scolaire de Laval students to school every day and the union has promised to warn parents at least 72 hours before launching a strike.
