Guy Turcotte riding a bike outside of Pinel

Guy Turcotte, the cardiologist who brutally stabbed his two young children to death in 2009, is being allowed out of the Pinel Institute where he is a patient.

Pinel officials tell CJAD news his bicycle excursions are all part of his treatment plan.

Turcotte will go back before a mental health board in December to ask to be freed from the institution.

One report says he's been seen riding his bike, without supervision, outside of Pinel grounds.

Turcotte was found not criminally responsible in July 2011, for killing his children aged 3 and 5.

Where is the justice in this. While Turcotte is enjoying his bike rides in the sunshine.... his children 3 & 5 are laying beneath the earth. This is truly sad.... very sad that a father does not seem to be grieving for his children... and can seem to enjoy a bike ride. Turcotte stopped their bike rides... forever.
This monster should not have been able to have access to anything pleasurable in life... have his life remaining on earth as miserable and dark and his children are beneath the earth. We don't have a justice system.

@Sandra Why do you think Turcotte was found not criminally responsible in July 2011, for killing his children aged 3 and 5.??? BECAUSE HE IS INSANE!!!! NOT SANE, im sorry for the children, but No hes not enjoying his bikes rides, he has to wake up evrery morning to tell himsefl: "I killed my two kids and I dont even know HOW I did it". Im not taking pitty on the man, but justice was made.

What baffles me is the fact that he want to return to a normal life and keep working as a doctor, would you want to be treated by such a devil?????

If he was insane when he killed his children wait and see what happens when he gets into middle age, when one's conscience finally kicks in, and remorse shows it ugly face, he should loose it again, and no children to kill this time.

Why was he allowed to plead "not guilty" in the first place since he was caught doing it. And the law does not allow vigilante, in spite of the fact that it has a history of failing over & over again.
