Various re-sale websites including eBay and Kijiji are beginning to list tickets for sale and auction for the benefit concert at The Metropolis next Monday for Denis Blanchette the man shot and killed at the venue on election night.

The show featuring performances by Celine Dion, Ben Harper and Arcade Fire has been sold out and tickets that had sold for $175 are being offered for as much as $350 and prices are expected to rise.

Concert organizer Andre Menard says he is dismayed that some people are trying to exploit the goodwill of the public.

Money raised will be placed in a fund for Denis Blanchette's surviving four year old daughter.

Menard is advising people considering purchasing tickets from scalpers that people attending the event will be required to show identification and ticket purchase confirmation before being allowed into the show.
