Montreal police are asking the public's help in trying to track down a 30-year-old woman, who's gone missing along with her 20-month-old son.

Her name is Arbia Arabi. She's 5'5", 165 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and is said to wear a hijab.

She and her young son were last seen leaving her home in Montreal on Thursday.

Police believe she may be in Toronto, and add she has plane tickets booked in her name to her native Algeria, for a flight taking off from Trudeau airport on Saturday.

Police say they're treating this as a missing persons case, and have no reason to believe this was a kidnapping. But they ask anyone who may have seen her or her son to contact police, or call 9-1-1.
