A 36-year old motorcyclist remained in critical condition Friday evening following an east end crash.

"Around 10 minutes to 6 pm, there was a collision that was involving a motorcycle and a car, so it occured at the corner of Hochelaga and Lacordaire. Because there were numerous witnesses, we were able to quickly get a good idea of what was happening. So, from what we know, the motorcyclist was travelling east-bound on Hochelaga and ran his red light and crashed into a vehicle that was driving south-bound on Lacordaire", says police spokesman Anthony Cantelmi.

The motorcyclist was thrown to the ground and suffered injuries to his upper body, including his head.

He was then transported to hospital.

Doctors said the following 72 hours would be critical.

No else was injured.
