A 42-year-old woman is dead after being struck by a car in the Mile End district late Friday evening.

It happened at the corner of Parc Ave. and St. Joseph Blvd. at around 11 p.m.

The driver, a 76-year-old woman, fled the scene and was picked up by police a short time later.

Police believe she may have been drinking, and could face charges of hit-and-run and impaired driving causing death.

Please Mr or Mrs Judge. If she is found guilty, put this piece of garbage behind bars forever. I don't give a crap how old she is. Set an example. Drunk driving + death = life in Prison. Open and shut case.

There are cowards lurking in our judicial system.

A 42 year old is dead because someone had too many Pinacoladas.

Like I always say..I wish I was king of the world....

    All hail King Geo ↑↑↑↑
There should be no leniency in this open and shut case. I don't care if she's old, it only means she of all people should have known better. IF she's found to be too old, lock up one of her 42 year old relatives for life.
Canadian justice is a joke. Maybe if she says she doesn't remember, the judge will dismiss the case or let her off easy. This has to stop !
