More meat products will likely be pulled from store shelves next week as food safety officials keep probing an E-coli scare at an Alberta packing plant.

Yesterday, a recall was issued for whole muscle cuts of beef from XL Foods, including steaks and roasts.

That's in addition to previously recalled ground beef products.

There've been a total of eight recalls issued since Sept. 16.

In Quebec, the voluntary recall affects Super C, Métro, Richelieu, AMI and Walmart stores.
