Sureté du Québec have made progress in their investigation of an accident on the 640 early Monday morning.

Police say that three people turned themselves in late last night at a police station in St-Jerome.

The Dodge Caravan police were looking for was also seized.

SQ spokesperson Claude Denis tells CJAD the individuals were questioned and released.

"It will be up to the crown prosecutor's office now to decide if any charges will be laid against them."

The fatal accident happened around 2 a.m. Monday on the 640 in north shore Lorraine. A car went out of control and crashed and the driver was ejected onto the roadway. A passerby stopped to help and was trying to direct traffic around the victim when an oncoming vehicle, a dark-coloured Dodge Caravan, drove over the stricken man, and didn't stop.
