	NHL cancels 82 games Posted By: Canadian Press · 10/4/2012 2:09:00 PM The start of the NHL's regular season has been pushed back by the lockout. The league cancelled the first two weeks of the 2012-13 season, which was scheduled to begin Oct. 11 with four games. In all, 82 games were wiped out through Oct. 24. Despite negotiating regularly throughout the summer, the NHL and NHL Players' Association have been unable to make much progress in collective bargaining talks. The lockout is into its 19th day and the sides currently don't have any negotiating sessions scheduled. Deputy commissioner Bill Daly claimed earlier this week that the lockout has cost the league almost US$100 million in lost revenue.
