It seems Vito Rizzuto could be headed to Toronto Friday night.

The reputed Montreal mobster was released earlier in the day from a Colorado prison in connection with three New York mob slayings some 20 years ago.

"Police sources are saying, they're hearing, that he could come to Montreal, but there is also a good possibility he could decide to go to Toronto. Toronto is both the source of where some of his enemies are, but it's also where he had built strong alliances. He's visited there often, he has family there", Toronto star reporter and mafia author Julian Sher told CJAD News.

Rizzuto is returning to a weakened organization.

His father and son were killed during his absence.

His brother-in-law disappeared.
