Another raid targeting Laval's mayor
Another raid in Laval targeting its mayor.
Provincial police say the anti-corruption unit targeted mayor Gilles Vaillancourt's condo on des Cageux Friday evening, but it's not clear what may have been removed from it.
The latest police operation follows raids on Thursday at the mayor's house and city hall as well other locations.
Police officers did remove boxes from city hall.
Vaillancourt insists he's not resigning and will co-operate with authorities.
Vaillancourt has been accused of shady cash dealings in the past, but has vehemently denied the charges.
