Demo calling for mayor Tremblay to resign
By all accounts, a peaceful demonstration Friday evening calling for mayor Tremblay's resignation.
It began at city hall and then headed for Phillips Square.
Speakers called for the mayor to step down following testimony at the Charbonneau commission.
Former construction boss Lino Zambito testified recently he kicked back three per cent of city contracts he landed to Tremblay's Union Montreal party.
Tremblay spoke to reporters shortly after the testimony saying Quebec's chief electoral officer has verified his party's finances every year and has discovered nothing wrong.
