Poll shows bad news for mayor Tremblay
A poll shows a very strong majority of respondents to a CROP-La Presse survey say they don't Gerald Tremblay to run again.
Nine in 10 say he should back out while 43 per cent say he should resign immediately.
Seven per cent say they'd vote for him.
The poll also shows Liberal MP Denis Coderre as the front runner to replace Tremblay as leader of Union Montreal.
26 per cent say they'd vote for Coderre, who has yet to announce if he'll run in next year's election.
Former construction boss Lino Zambito testified he kicked back three per cent of city contracts he landed to Tremblay's Union Montreal party.
The mayor denies any wrongdoing.
A demonstration last night in Montreal called for his resignation.
