What's open and closed on this holiday Monday
It's thanksgiving Monday and while many businesses are closed today, some are not.
Let's begin with what's closed. That list includes banks, most city of Montreal offices, municpal court and most provincial and and federal offices.
As for what's open... some depanneurs are.
If you're in the mood to do some shopping, most shopping centers are open today, including downtown malls, but Westmount Square is closed.
Some pharmacies are open; it's possible hours are reduced.
Grocery stores of any size can remain open today, at their leisure.
Also open, the Biodome, Botanical Gardens and the Montreal Science center.
SAQ stores are open except for those inside a closed shopping center.
If you're scheduled for garbage pick up or recycling, it will go ahead with isolated exceptions.
And, as always, parking meters need to be fed.
