A man facing charges in connection with a triple homicide in Quebec has been captured in Florida, but may not be brought home to face justice any time soon.
Quebec provincial police say a request to have Justin Bresaw extradited is underway but it's not clear when he will be returned to Canada.
Bresaw, who appeared in a Tallahasee court Monday morning, is also facing charges related to his arrest in Florida, including resisting an officer with violence and battery on an officer.
Marc Tessier, a spokesman for Quebec provincial police, says Bresaw will first have to undergo due process in the United States.
The 35-year-old Bresaw was the subject of a Canada-wide arrest warrant and an alert by Interpol after a house fire last month in Amos, a town in northern Quebec.
He is facing first-degree murder charges in relation to the two men and a woman found dead in the home.
