A young woman is dead after a head on collision in St. Liboire, east of Montreal.

Her two passengers, her teenaged brothers, are in hospital with serious injuries but are expected to recover.

Police say the driver of an SUV veered into oncoming traffic slamming into the 17 year old girl's vehicle.

Alcohol isn't suspected in the accident.

Police are looking at whether the 27 year old driver of the SUV may have been distracted or trying to pass another car.

He's also in hospital but is expected to survive.
