Gerald Tremblay hanging tough at Montreal city hall
Montreal mayor Gerald Tremblay is digging in: not only won't he resign, but the mayor says he hasn't decided yet if he'll run for another mayoral term.
Gerald Tremblay says he sees no reason to comment on unproven allegations made before the Charbonneau Commission. Nor will he comment on remarks made by others, like Montreal Police Brotherhood president Yves Francoeur.
Tremblay says it's important for the Charbonneau Commission to continue its work, and says he was among the first to clamour for hearings on corruption in the construction industry.
Finally, Tremblay indicates that he would eagerly accept an invitation to go testify before the Commission.
