A former orderly at the Hull hospital has been arrested for allegedly assaulting and sexually exploiting a mentally handicapped 99-year old patient. 44-year old Yves Laplante was filmed following suspicions. A hidden camera was installed after a fellow employee became suspicious about Laplante`s professional conduct. Laplante, who was fired prior to his arrest, had been working in the Gatineau Health and Social Services network for seven years. Just when I thought I've seen everything, a 44 year old proves me wrong. And he lives here. I thought stuff like this only happens in movies. There are obviously mental health issues at play..... We all know that it is very unlikely that this is Laplante's first crime in 7 years.
