Demonstration against suspended Montreal cop
There was a demonstration Friday night demanding a suspended Montreal police officer be fired.
It's estimated about a hundred people showed up at Parc Emilie Gamelin to denounce Stephanie Trudeau, also known as officer 728, which is her badge number.
The demonstration moved on to police headquarters on St Urbain on two occasions, but there were no major incidents.
One protester told CJAD News there should be a public inquiry into the whole police force, adding "there are a lot flaws".
Trudeau was suspended because, for one, she used too much force while making recent arrests.
Meantime, her arrest of Simon Page and three others has triggered some concern about the police officer.
Page is concerned about how Const. Trudeau will be treated in the coming weeks.
He says he can't help but feel badly for her.
"Her life is troubled right now, probably much more than our lives,'' Page said Friday outside a police station, shortly after having his fingerprints taken for charges of intimidation and obstruction of justice.
