Walking for awareness about mental health issues in Montreal

The fourth annual Walk for Mental Health took place in downtown Montreal Sunday.

The marchers started at Phillips Square and headed west, attempting to raise funds, raise awarness, and eliminate the taboos surrounding mental illness.

It's estimated that one in five Canadians suffer some form of mental illness, though the vast majority either don't realize it or don't seek treatment.

Once again, the event's honorary president is Margaret Trudeau, the former wife of Pierre Trudeau and mother of current Liberal leadership hopeful Justin Trudeau, who has been very candid in the past about her battles with depression.
