A Plateau Mont-Royal resident who lives just around the corner from where the infamous Officer 728 takedown happened on Oct. 2 is suggesting to Radio-Canada the the officers involved in the police operation may have tried to be a little creative in writing their official report on the incident.

Catia Moreau tells the network she was able to listen in on the officer's huddle following the incident from her balcony, and she says she heard Stéfanie Trudeau (aka Officer 728) telling her colleagues things like 'don't write it like that, because if it ever goes to court, I don't want to get in trouble.'

She also says she has spoken with police about what she saw and heard.

Montreal police aren't commenting on what Moreau may have told them, but they add anyone who may have seen or heard anything relating to the operation is welcome to come forward and tell their stories.
