Brotherhood president won't condemn actions of 728

The president of the union representing Montreal police officers is refusing to condemn the actions of officer 728, Stefanie Trudeau.

It was the first time the Fraternité des policiers et policières de Montréal's Yves Francoeur has had anything to say about Trudeau.

He says the brotherhood has the moral and legal responsibility to represent Trudeau and for that reason, Francoeur tells the French language all-news network, LCN, that he will not make any further comments.

And there lies the problem with the Montreal Police Department. The union lacks ethical standards. They are the reason that the bad apples cannot be weeded out. It is a union’s job to defend their members, but they also have to set standards. Union’s that fail to see the forest for the trees are the ones that give the union movement a bad name.

She's a beast.. she is unruly , obnoxious and I think she forged her psych exam. Nothing will happen to her.. Of course not. She will continue to be nasty to people and she will only grow in ego with all the attention.

More and more reason to bring in a civilian oversight of all police in Quebec. Start to re-school these jerks. And get a ZERO tolerance for police misconduct. They work for US not vice versa. Put some real fear of real discipline in the ranks, and cull the herd of bad apples. Enough.
