Montreal police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a suspect in connection with a string of break-ins at synagogues.

Police say synagogues in the Mile End district and Outremont borough were the targets of repeat break-ins in mid-September. Thieves made off with collection boxes.

The suspect is described as a white male, around 55 years old, with mid-length dark brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black coat with a hood, beige pants and black shoes with a white stripe.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Info Crime at 514 393-1133.
