A man was shot to death this afternoon at a construction site adjacent to the Manoir St-Sauveur hotel.

Local residents called police at around 1:20 p.m., reporting they heard gunshots. Once police arrived, they found a man lying unconscious at the construction site near the corner of Millette and St-Denis in the popular Laurentian resort town.

No word on a possible motive for the shooting. Police are looking for a large man seen fleeing the scene in a white Cadillac.
