Lino Zambito defends allegations in TV interview
The former construction boss who's made explosive allegations before the Charbonneau commission is defending his claims.
Lino Zambito will appear on Radio-Canada's highly popular "Tout le Monde en Parle" Sunday night.
In the show, which has already been taped, Zambito challenges anyone who denies his claims to appear at the commission and express their opposition under oath.
He adds he didn't cut a deal with anyone prior to his appearance before the comission.
Among other things, Zambito told the commission there's been a corrupt constructon industry in which he paid the mafia a 2.5% cut on public contracts.
He said the system artificially drove up the cost of public works and that certain companies were allowed to bid for public contracts.
