Woman killed by falling sign from Sandy's strong winds in Toronto
Toronto police say a woman has been killed by a falling sign as high winds from approaching post-tropical storm Sandy whipped the city.
It happened about 7:10 p.m.
A police spokesman says winds were about 65 kilometres per hour in the area at the time.
The sign is next to a parking lot of a Staples store at Keele and St Clair in Toronto.
