Dog fight in court
A South Shore man has gone to court about a dog fight: a dog custody fight.
Patrick Dolla is suing his former mother-in-law, claiming she forged a document that helped bolster her daughter's claim to the family dog during the couple's divorce. it wasn't an easy separation and the custody of dog Holly was at the centre of it.
Dolla says his wife kept him from seeing Holly for several years while the divorce was negotiated. She produced a birthday card from her parents, claiming it proved the dog had been given to her back in 2002, not the both of them.
Dolla says the copyright on the back of the card proves it was printed not in 2002 as his ex said, but in 2008, after the separation.
He is seeking $25,000 in compensation from his former mother-in-law.
