Premier suggests mayor Tremblay step down for now

It seems premier Marois wants mayor Tremblay to step down temporarily.

The premier has told RDI she will meet with the mayor to make the suggestion, although no date was mentioned.

She says he's disgusted by the allegations of corruption made during testimony at the Charbonneau commission.

Among other things, Tremblay has denied allegations he ignored corruption within his own party.

Laval mayor Gilles Vaillancourt has stepped down for now following allegations against him.

    Wow
Wow a few accusations is all it takes to remove someone from office. I don't know if he is guilty of anything but to take the words of people who are just speaking now to avoid prosecution is disgusting. These people are already discredited and anything they say has to be taken with a pinch of salt.
There has been no proof of anything yet against the guy. I thought you were innocent unless proved otherwise or did I miss one of the new laws being proposed by the P?.

I believe that no one is sheltered from the allegations of corruption that ever worked city hall during the dates of the said corruption. Everyone knew and yet nothing was done. I am disgusted with Mayor Tremblay. at least have the decency to say "I knew something was going on but it was bigger than me".
