Canada-wide drug raids underway
A major drug bust this morning in Quebec, Ontario, and B.C. with links to organized crime.
Earlier this morning a steady stream of patrol cars carrying potential suspects could be seen rolling into the garage of the Montreal police north-end operations centre on Cremazie.
Over 1,000 police officers are involved in the massive raid including the Surete du Quebec, Montreal police, and the RCMP.
The SQ says the operation targets a large drug ring, mostly cocaine traffiking. Police have made dozens of arrests.
More details about the raid will be released at a news conference at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at provincial police headquarters in Montreal.
