Bank of Montreal hit with automated system shutdown

Posted By: Richard Deschamps · 11/2/2012 11:50:00 AM

If you're planning to buy something with your Bank of Montreal debit or credit card, you might have a little trouble over the next little while.

The bank is replying to customers on Twitter that it is experiencing technical difficulties.

BMO's information system have been down since about 11 o'clock this morning, meaning people have been unable to access their accounts at an ATM, online, or on their mobile phones.

The bank says it does not yet know when things will be fixed.

This is just one example of the awful lies told by the banking system as to how safe the system is. A major computer glitch - details of which they are not yet sure - can cripple the economy of those relying on the system. This is a red flag for what could happen across the whole banking system. Something similar happened in the Ulster Bank in Ireland earlier this year and caused terrible worry for most users, and financial hardship for some.
And yet nobody knows the real truth of what happened.

It's been down longer than 11 pm. Myself I haven't been able to withdraw fund since Oct 31st.... That's fantastic considering I need to take out November's rent money...

Gotta love it, Bank shutsdown my card after all this takes place and tells me its because of spyware on my computer. I highly doubt thats the case seeing as its been working perfectly fine up until this happened. Another Lie from a Banker.
