New strains of flu virus arrive early
If you've putting off getting your flu shot, health experts says there's a reason you shouldn't delay.
There are two new strains out there, and they're making the rounds.
In fact the flu is showing up much earlier.
"If we look at last year, it started at the end of January, and now it started in November, so we have less time to give the vaccine."
Doctor Renée Paré with Montreal's Public Health department says the current vaccine includes the new strains, so if you don't want to spoil your holiday plans, get the shot.
Paré expects the flu to peak around Christmas.
