STM revises fare increases for 2013

Posted By: Richard Deschamps · 12/5/2012 5:16:00 PM

There will be fare increases coming for bus and metro users in the new years, but they will be slightly less steep as was announced back in October.

The price of a monthly pass will go up to an even $77, up from $75.50 in 2012.

It was supposed to go up to $77.75.

The reduced fare pass will go up to $45, instead of $45.50.

10 tickets for adults will cost $24.50, and not $25.

And a weekly pass for adults will be $23.75, instead of $24.25.

The Montreal agglomeration council is putting an extra $5 million into public transit for 2013.

    It,s good the S.T.M. t raising the fare to $ 77.75 but leaving it at $ 77.00.
Here is the reassion we rhe puble should not pay the increase.
    1) The S.T.M runs rhe buses late IE: 161 this morning was missing Dec. 5, 2012.
    2) The bus drivers are very rude.
    3) The tidket takers refusse ro speak english.
    4) The metro srations are Atwater,Peel,Berri UQAM,Villa Maria agent had sign in the window saying ice service au francais soul and De La Savanne where the agent hit a passinger because the custermer asked for help in english because there was a problem with the OPUS Machine that day.
    5) That,s why rhe members of the public shoulf not pay any increase till the S.T.M.recepts all the passages not only the french but every one.
    6) The S.T.M learn alot from the T.T.C. how to be polit with every passinger.
I,m soory if rgere are spelling errors.

@Aubey Laufer I suggest you learn to spell a bit in English or run your comments through spell-check before posting them publicly. The lack of correct spelling speaks volume and negates any valid points you may have made.
