Marois rescinds double-dip deal for Boisclair

Andre Bosiclair's sweet deal has been cancelled.

Earlier this week, the former PQ leader had been appointed Quebec's Delegate-General to New York.

But, he and Premier Pauline Marois came under withering criticism for the agreement  which accorded Boisclair the status of a permanent civil servant, or a near lifetime job because he had also been appointed assistant deputy minister in the International Relations Department.

This morning in Quebec City Premier Marois announced that the agreement had been modified and while Boisclair will take up the post in New Yorkhe will no longer have status as a permanent Quebec civil servant.

    Mme. Marois, feel free to start addressing the actual issues that our province is facing, its okay though, take your time, no rush

    Why isn't the PQ government discussing Health Care, Crumbling roads, and the loss of jobs in Quebec? How long do people have to suffer with this PQ minority government?

      @Michala Oh they discussed health care - they cut funding - they discussed education - they cut funding there too - but the moron Mr. Boisclair actually "gave up" his DOUBLE DIPPING income. What a relief!!!!! This government is going to run the province to the ground - my question is WHERE IS THE OPPOSITION THROUGH ALL THIS madness?

    We live in the armpit of North America. Its all our fault. We don't raise a loud enough stink when the chance of idiots like this will get elected -which they did - into office and when we do we still suck it in BUT BOY DO WE GET PISSED WHEN YOU INSULT A HOCKEY PLAYER or something trivial like that THEN we raise a stink.
