The Marois government's action plan will involve education programs, detection, and intervention.
The the minister responsible for the status of women says special attention will go to aboriginals, immigrants, the handicapped and same-sex relationships.
"This plan is adjusted to specific groups. Especially it's dedicated to the aboriginals. 35 or the 135 measures are dedicated to these people," says Agnes Maltais.
The money will be stretched across 9 ministries and organizations, and will include more funding for the treatment of violent partners, as well as help victims.
