Several reports say the woman found dead in an apartment building in Montreal North is 27 year old Pamela Jean, the Longueuil woman reported missing earlier this week.

Investigators  from the Major Crimes met with an apartment resident where the body was discovered around 9:30 last night, on  l'Hôtel-de-Ville.  The 32 year old man is considered an important witness.

It was not the first time police were called to the home.  The nature of these calls has not been revealed.

An autopsy will be performed in the coming days on the body of the victim to determine the cause of death.

If results show it was a homicide, Jean's death would be the first murder in Montreal in 2013.
