Protest blocks Via trains

Posted By: CJAD · 1/5/2013 5:48:00 PM

A First Nations' railroad blockade in the Marysville area near Kingston is affecting the transportation of passengers aboard VIA Rail trains between Toronto/Montreal and Toronto/Ottawa in both directions. There is no definitive timeline when the blockade will be lifted.

Via says some delays can be expected. If you're meeting someone or heading out yourself, first check Via's schedule.

For customers who want to change their travel plans or need  further information, Via has a toll free line, 1 888 842-724.  For the hearing impaired it's1 800 268-9503.

I'm guessing this is linked to the Enbridge Pipeline blockade as well right? In support of that movement? and if it is, CJAD would be biased enough to leave out those details? What is it exactly that you guys are pushing for by posting this article? Who's side are you on?

Good for the Aboriginals, they've been pushed around long enough and I stand in solidarity with them. No more money over humanity, it's time for a change.
