Contract talks will start up again on Wednesday between the government and striking ambulance workers.

The workers have been off the job since Christmas Eve, though they've been required by law to provide full ambulance service.

They've been without a contract since March of 2010, with pension issues being the main sticking point.

Health minister Rejean Hebert made the announcement this afternoon, as hundreds of ambulance workers gathered outside his Sherbrooke riding office to protest.
