Talks in ambulance dispute to resume

Quebec's health minister says he is pleased that talks in the ambulance technicians dispute are to resume tomorrow but he has already issued a warning.

Rejean Hebert says the province is determined to reach zero deficit next year and that will be the framework for contract negotiations.

The ambulance technicians have been without a contract since the spring of 2010 and are seeking improvements to their wage scale and pension plan.  Just before Christmas they launched rotating administrative pressure tactics.

I make $14/hr working in IT. NO pension plan. Insurance plan sucks. Times are hard, not always good. Are you suffering? Didn't think so. Get the ____ back to work. I would take what you're doing at what you are/were getting paid in a heartbeat. My family would be a lot better off I'm sure. I for one am glad I even have a job right now.
