Wife wants mobster husband declared dead
The wife of Paolo Renda wants the courts to fast-track her husband's death declaration less than three years after he was last seen.
Renda, the brother-in-law of Vito Rizzutto was apparently kidnapped near his Cartierville home by two men posing as police officers, who had pulled him over in his car.
He was believed to be the right hand man to Nick Rizzutto who was killed in November of 2010 and was responsible for handling family finances.
Maria Rizzuto-Renda says a declaration of death would give the family closure .
The judge says she will render a decision on the request at a later date.
