Preliminary hearing begins in Karine Faubert murder
A preliminary hearing began Monday into the August, 2011 murder of Karine Faubert.
The body of the 21-year old woman was found in a field near Godmanchester in the Montérégie.
She had been shot to death.
A former boyfriend Marc-Olivier Perras has been charged in the case.
At the time of his arrest it had been speculated that Faubert had been killed over an outstanding debt.
A judge has imposed a publication ban on the hearing which is expected to last about a week.
