Montreal police are investigating a murder in the St. Michel district this morning.

Police were called to an apartment building on 51st St. near Pie-IX just before the noon.

There, they found a man in his 40s who had been stabbed.

He was pronounced dead in hospital shortly after he arrived.

Police have opened their investigation. So far, they haven't been able to track down a suspect, and have few other details surrounding the circumstances.

It's the third murder of 2013 in Montreal.
