SQ cop suspended in brutality case involving senior
A Quebec provincial police officer has been suspended in connection with a brutality case involving a senior citizen.
85-year old Yvon Trudel left a seniors home in Valleyfield in 2009.
He wasn't supposed to and was located at a restaurant.
Trudel was dragged from the restaurant and returned to the home.
He suffered a heart attack and died four days later.
The officer has been identified as Vincent Langlais and has been suspended without pay for 17 days by a police committee that investigates complaints against officers.
Langlais has 30 days to appeal.
