Bain hearing delayed yet again
MONTREAL - A court hearing for the man charged in Quebec's election-night shooting has been delayed yet again, this time until Monday.
The latest snafu in Richard Henry Bain's case occurred after the psychiatrist who saw him failed to appear in court today due to illness.
The court wanted to hear Chantal Bouchard to discuss Bain's unwillingness to talk to her about the facts of the case.
Bain told the court it was his lawyer who instructed him to limit his answers.
Bain faces 16 charges, including first-degree murder, related to the attack at a downtown Montreal club where the Parti Quebecois was celebrating its election victory last September.
Stagehand Denis Blanchette was killed and another worker was wounded.
