Three hurt in Park Ex jewelry store heist
Montreal police are on the scene of what they believe to be a botched robbery at a jewelry store in the Park Extenstion district.
The incident happened at the Prince jewelery store at the corner of St. Roch St. and Querbes Ave., at around 1:30, when two men busted into the store. It's thought they may have been armed with machetes.
They soon got into some sort of an argument with the store's four employees, and in the process, stabbed three of them, one seriously.
The victims are in their 50s and 60s. They're all expected to survive.
A wide security perimeter has been set up in the area, as police try to hunt down the suspects.
