Dentist on trial for sex assault
The trial resumed this morning of a 65-year-old Montreal dentist accused of sexually assaulting one of his patients in October 2008.
During cross-examination, the 40-year-old alleged victim became increasingly frustrated with the defence's line of questioning aimed at discrediting her and making it look like she brought up questions of circumcision and sex.
The woman alleges Dr. Mihran Dadourian forced her into an act of fellatio while her mouth was frozen and paid her $40.
She testified that she was paralyzed with fear and shock.
She repeated earlier testimony that she was a newly arrived immigrant from Congo and that the incident brought back memories of her imprisonment and being raped.
The dentist insists it was a business transaction based on mutual consent.
Dadourian was fined $1000 and barred from practicing for three months by the Quebec Order of Dentists after pleading guilty to sexual misconduct with his patient.
