Cops raid Georges Laraque's home: report
Longueuil police raided a home on Lemelin St. in Brossard this morning, and a CTV report claims it's the home of former Montreal Canadiens tough guy Georges Laraque.
Police say the raid was part of an ongoing fraud investigation that began in April of 2012. They were looking for documents in connection with a dispute Laraque had with a former business partner.
The CTV report suggests Laraque had accused the former business partner, Marc Filion, of taking company money to pay off personal debt, and took out a lawsuit against Filion to recoup the money.
Longueuil police say there were no arrests made, and that for the time being, they're not planning to arrest anyone.
They would only say they're looking further into the matter.
