Anti-Bill 14 rally on Sunday

Are you angry enough about the tougher language provisions proposed by the Marois government to take to the streets?

There will be a rally against Bill 14 on Sunday at noon outside the Premier's Montreal office at 770 Sherbrooke Street West.

Among other things, Bill 14 would extends the language-of-work provisions of the French Language Charter to businesses employing between 26 and 50 workers.    It would also make it harder for cities with changing demographics to hang on to their bilingual status.

Rally organizer Jimmy Kalafatidis of the Unity Group says Bill 14 - if passed - will be detrimental to Quebec's economy, health and education systems and municipal services.  Kalafatidis says Quebecers opposed to Bill 14 need to come to the rally to make the point.

The only thing this demonstration will demonstrate is how small , and aged the Angry-Anglo movement has become . My guess is they'll be lucky to get 250 . and maybe 10 of them under 40 . The rest of us have moved beyond this stuff .
