PQ MNA Breton caught napping

Posted By: Richard Deschamps · 2/12/2013 4:52:00 PM

MNAs were back in the National Assembly for the beginning of the spring session today, but it looks like PQ backbencher Daniel Breton didn't make the most of his time off.

The former environment minister was seen nodding off for several minutes while his colleague, higher education minister Pierre Duchesne, answered a question from the Liberals, barely 10 minutes into the first question period of the new session.

Breton quit his post as environment minister just weeks after his appointment last fall, after reports surfaced of a number of past criminal convictions, including having been convicted three times of defrauding the employment insurance system, and driving after his licence had been revoked.

He's also been accused of failing to pay rent on an apartment for several months in 2009.

Uh, this isn't a PQ thing. Anyone observe the Conservatives' very own Rob Anders in Question Period?
